The mandate

The founder reached out to Supremos as Uzzle prepared for its next stage of growth toward nine figures. He wanted to build a senior leadership layer that could take greater ownership of the business and allow him to step further back from day-to-day operations.

The immediate leadership needs were a COO and a senior Growth / Marketing leader. The founder had been carrying much of the growth and marketing responsibility himself and was looking for operators who could take ownership at a higher level.

The search strategy

The mandate was clear: identify operators who had already worked inside scaled consumer businesses. Supremos mapped relevant target companies, identified the executives with the right operating experience, and approached them directly through targeted outbound sourcing.

This was a deliberately narrow search. The objective was not to create a large candidate pool, but to find the small number of operators whose track record matched the founder's benchmark for Uzzle's next stage of scale.

The outcome

Supremos identified and placed a COO from the target-company market. The candidate was selected after two interviews, with the process moving from initial identification to selection in approximately one week.

We also identified a senior Growth / Marketing leader from the same target-company ecosystem, addressing another critical leadership gap that the founder had previously been carrying himself.

The Growth / Marketing search had already been challenging despite other recruiting firms working on it. Supremos solved it through the same focused approach: map the right companies, identify the right operators, and approach them directly.

Target the company. Find the operator. Move quickly.

Uzzle did not need a large volume of resumes. It needed executives with a track record operating at scale and the ability to take on a bigger mandate.
